March is known in Chicago to come in like a lion and go out like a lion -- and that it did. We did get some lamb days in between, fortunately, but today made up for it. It's been snowing a wet, slushy snow since morning and it is wildly windy. Wes worked at 6am this morning, which meant I got to take the whole crew out into the fray. Lucy, naturally, was having a ball. She is the only who will truly miss Chicago weather (though not the salt that hurts her paws). Oliver was packed tidily in a snowsuit, blanket, and weather shield. And I left my glasses on in lieu of contacts to protect my face from the sleet. It was a treacherous outing, what with Lucy going one direction and the stroller going another, but we made it.
Just the same, I'll wait for Wes to get home this afternoon before taking the dog out again.
