My sister Laura and I traveled to Callaway Garden, GA, last weekend for an English teachers conference. We presented a workshop but spent most of the time in our hotel room being silly and scavenging for food after Pine Mountain closed down for four inches of snow. We had a great time, as we always do when we're together. The highlight of the trip for Laura, definitely, was the snow we got. She lives in Savannah and hadn't seen snow in years. It went from completely bare outside to a gentle snowfall to a heavy snowfall with everything covered in several inches. We went out to play in it, but she didn't have real snow clothes to stay out for long.
