- Yield meals for several nights, like the soups and chili I make in the colder weather.
- Are relatively easy and tasty and not too, too terribly unhealthy (like the carrot, oatmeal, applesauce, raisin muffins recipe I got from my mom and that Oliver refers to as "cupcakes").
- Are somewhat seasonal, like the one I found today for Quinoa Pumpkin Pancakes.
- Can be made ahead of time and frozen mostly prepared, like the few dishes I'll make in early December to be de-thawed and eaten after baby comes. I did this when I was pregnant with Oliver and found it really nice to have some big, tasty meals that I could pop out when I just didn't feel like cooking -- but did feel like eating :)
- Oliver can help with. That child just loves to help. Thank goodness for our step stool -- and hand vac.
