Thanks giving, Week 49

For celebrations:

• Of the holidays.  Wes and I have his holiday party for work on Friday, and my departmental party is Saturday.  I bought a dress since Wes's work party is suits and dresses, and my only maternity dresses are for 80 degree plus weather, about 50 degrees warmer than it's been any day in the last 5.  I did leave the tags on it though, just in case.
• Of our forthcoming baby girl.  One of my classes met at my professor's house yesterday night for a kind of end-of-semester hurrah, and my classmates -- all of whom are in my first-year cohort -- surprised me with a sprinkle (ie. just gifts!).  Baby girl received a few outfits, including one adorable jumper/sweater/tights set from Janie and Jack, and some gift cards to Target.  One of my closest friends in the group even gave Oliver a gift -- a set of Sesame Street ABC cards, which he has already spread out and enjoyed thoroughly.
• Of my 600th post on this blog.  Amazing, isn't it.  Almost 5 years since I started blogging!  Any nominations for favorite posts?  My sincere thanks to those (three, four?) of you who read regularly and especially those who comment.  I'm not sure if I blog more for me or others, especially this one that is more a me-and-my-life kind of blog with fewer pictures of cute kids, but I enjoy it either way.
