Wes and I talked recently about how much we still miss Chicago. Nashville is great, and I at least am probably making more friends here (mostly mom friends at this point) than I did in Chicago, but the city just doesn't feel like home the way Chicago did for some reason. But then today we were reminded why we came here.
It was around 80 here today. Emme and I took a walk to the park at noon, where we met a few other moms and their kids. We were out for a little under two hours, and Emme slept peacefully in her car seat the entire time. I, however, basked in the sunshine. I even have the pink arms and nose to show for it.
This, my friends, you cannot find in Chicago.
