- Heard: "I'm a keen, mom," said Oliver the other morning. "A keen?" I reply in confusion. "Yes, keen. A-s-t-u-v-w-x-y-z...keen." (He actually was telling me that he was a king.)
- Looking forward: To Spring Break in three weeks. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.
- Staying: Inside. It was 19 degrees this morning and snowed yesterday. But hey, it's supposed to be 60 by the end of the week!
- Read: A lot of Plato. I'm not sure what to make of him (or Sophocles, I guess) except that I have to read it very slowly.
- Enjoying: The kids' Christmas portraits on the wall in our bedroom. Finally up.
- Planning: The First Annual Self Family Mouth of Wilson Retreat for mid-June. We've found a cabin right near Grayson Highlands and, except for the approximately eight-hour drive there, are very much looking forward to it.
- Wondering: How to get Oliver to take a nap at home on the weekends. He gets so tired, but even with considerable coaxing, I can't get him to sleep. For the moment, he's "resting" while watching Charlotte's Web; Emme is asleep in the crib (and Wes at a shift).
- Found out: I'm getting a new nephew come June -- hurray!
