Scaredy Dog

We have had a slew of thunderstorms come through the area recently. One day earlier this week we had one in the morning and another in the evening. That morning, Lucy and I were standing in the park, looking for a good place to poop (her, not me) when a peal of thunder struck. She literally jumped and then put all her efforts into dragging me home. I don't remember her being afraid of thunder like this, but Lucy is afraid of strange things, so why not thunder. That evening cemented her distate for this type of weather. It was time for bed, but some thunder had just started booming outside and the rain was heavy, and her bed and chair are right next to the window we leave open at night. She just looked at me as though to say, "You're not really going to make me sleep out here, are you?" Wes and I have completely broken Lucy of the sleeping in our bed, so I wasn't about to give in to the puppy dog eyes she was making. But I did let her in the room. She slept, without protest or comment, in her crate in the bedroom.
