Help

Two nights ago, I was running back out to the car, where I'd left my phone, after returning to the hotel. There were two older men at the end of the hall -- one probably in his 60s and the other appeared to be his father. The older man was somewhat hunched over and leaning on his son for support. The two were laden with luggage and standing at the door of their room. I could see they had put the card in the slot but hadn't swiped it such that the door would unlock. I didn't want to embarrass either one, but I felt so bad I couldn't help but speak up.

"Are you all doing okay?"

"No. We're not."

I pointed to the card in the slot.

"So what you want to do is just pull that back out. Mmmhmm. Just like that. Now stick it back in and pull it out quickly. There, see, the light turned green so it's unlocked."

"Oh, thanks."
