We're Going to I-o-way

Next week, I'm going to the University of Iowa for 7 days to attend their Summer Writer's Festival. I'm doing two workshops and generally immersing myself in the writing world for the week. As it happens, I'll have company. Wes is rotating in the MICU right now, and his schedule is such that we would have either had to spend $200 to have someone come in five days, taking Lucy full time for two of them, or board her for the duration. Instead I found a cheap Travelodge that takes pets. So Lucy will ride with me to Iowa and hang out in the bathroom of the hotel room while I'm on campus writing. I'm hoping there might be some outdoor events in the evenings that I can take her over for. I only have 4 hours of actual workshop time on the weekdays. The mornings are for meeting with other attendees or teachers, so it shouldn't be difficult to manage. Still, it seems funny that the dog and I are going to a writer's workshop together. What do you think her personal columns will be about?
