Resident, that is. Wes will officially be announced tomorrow with two of his colleagues as a chief resident of the emergency medicine residency program . He's excited, honored, and yes, humbled. He is in a great class with many qualified candidates. While he respects the choices that were made, he also feels for those who wanted and also deserved the position but didn't get chosen. His duties start immediately, as the outgoing chiefs prepare to graduate and move on to attending positions. At first it made me think he'd be doing even more work than ever. Then I realized:
