Did you see it? Yes, my profile changed because Thursday was my birthday. And I have to say, it was the loveliest birthday in recent memory. We found out the gender of the baby on Wednesday. I wore a pretty new shirt on Thursday and got to share my news. Wes got me an ice cream cake, which we've enjoyed now for several days (him more than me, truth be told -- he can't hide the crumbs he leaves on the counter). I also got two dresses -- one from my mother-in-law, and one from Wes. The one from my MIL is a cute blue and green dress that's long and will for many months accomodate a growing belly. The one from Wes is a formal that I can wear to the several functions we have in the next three months that require more formal attire. I was much impressed with his ability to pick out something that both fit and flattered. Fashion is not normally his forte, mind you. He even thought about what would look good with his suit :)
I had a nice moment that night when I realized the next birth-day we would celebrate in this house would be our son's.
