Thanks giving, Week 6

This week, I am thankful for warm winters. It's January, but it's been in the 50s and even low 60s recently, and I say -- keep them coming. I could never live in Florida or New Mexico or southern California. I just couldn't do it. I need seasons. I need fall leaves and spring flowers. I need grass. But I truly don't miss Chicago winters. I would take one or two days of piled up snow and snowmen and Lucy and Oliver playing in the backyard -- but not two months of snow and six months of sub-40-degree weather. I will not miss wearing a winter coat on my birthday (May 1). I will not miss having to decide if I can whip out my warmest clothes in December, knowing it's only going to get colder for another month or two. I like Nashville's winters. This, I'll take.
