Because it's good to be thankful for things both big and small:
I'm thankful that my 1:45 test on Friday got to start at 12:45, which meant I could pick up Oliver at 2:30 and spend the afternoon with him.
I'm thankful that it has not snowed 30 inches here and am thankful that everyone I know in that area seems to be faring the storm well.
I'm thankful that we seemed to have, at least temporarily, sealed the roof leak for $100.
I'm thankful that Oliver took a much-needed four-hour nap today, affording me precious time to complete schoolwork and scrub the master shower with bleach.
I'm thankful that I get to spend next weekend with my sister and my parents get to spend a well-deserved several days in Jamaica.
I'm thankful that I found a new, simple, healthy recipe that will feed us for still many more days.
I'm thankful that Wes was able to bend my glasses back to their original shape so they don't slide down my nose when I read.
I'm thankful for the heat at my feet, keeping me warm as I trudge this more pages of reading for the night.

And Jamaica is grand. The bougainvillea is beautiful and I've seen some hummingbirds too. Also some hibiscus and a couple other flowering bushes that I've seen before but don't know the names of. Had great waves to play in the first day and since we've had enough sunshine to supply our Vitamin D needs but not so hot that we've roasted.
Hope Nashvilee is thinking spring!
