Thanks giving, Week 36

This week I'm thankful for:

  • My Macbook and all things electronic.
  • The Kroger 3 for $10 special on Bluebell ice cream this week.
  • A specific brand of organic lemonade that Kim got me hooked on at her house, also on special this week (4 for $5!!!).
  • A chance to instruct my very first graduate-level class (or undergraduate, for that matter).  It's only four students, but I'll take it!
  • Being a first-year doc student, which means I'm not really expected to know anything yet.
  • Linking to a friend's blog thanks for a comment she left on AD.
  • The news that a blogger whom I've been following (who has suffered miscarriages, failed IVFs, and marital woes as a result) has made it to 12 weeks in a spontaneous pregnancy (I hesitate to call it a surprise, given how hard they've been trying, but I'm sure it surprised them that this happened without medical intervention).  I won't link out of respect for her privacy, but it's always great news to know someone has made it safely to the end of first trimester.  I pray I get to celebrate similar news for other dear people in my life, some of whom read this blog.
  • Our beautiful yard, where we spent some family time this weekend.
  • Vanderbilt's new Sitter Service and Back-Up Care Service.  A working mother's dream come true.
  • Another week of life for which to be thankful.
