I am thankful for safe and speedy air travel. I am thankful for a community of individuals who are invested in improving schools for our most underserved students and who are committed to equitable education. I am thankful for a friendly, wise, respected, and kind advisor. I am thankful for a first-row seat on a four-hour flight (read: 3 trips to lavatory, each way). I am thankful to my mother, who kept my little boy happy and occupied in my absence and my big boy fed. And most of all, I am thankful to be home.
