I meant to get a picture of this before the sign came down, but sadly I was too late. Why do grammatical errors in public spaces bother me so? The condo building here had a sign up asking for someone to fill the "roll" of chairperson for a security committee (we're had several robberies in the building recently).
I was torn between taking a pen and fixing it (which I have done to other elevator signs with similar errors) and simply writing, "Dinner? Yeast? Grands Flaky Buttermilk?"
Please, people, proofread your signs.
