Falling

It's starting to feel like fall here. When I walked out to catch the bus to school yesterday, I could smell it in the air. And then I tried to qualify it. What made it smell like fall? Well, it's been in the 60's and low 70's the last two days, which certainly contributes. Anytime you have to think about taking a light sweatshirt outside, it must be fall. And some people around here recently cut the grass, which adds the sweet smell to the air. The skies have been clear after those horrible storms a week or more ago. It's Labor Day weekend.

What does make it smell like fall?

Drying leaves. Burning fires. Cool nights. Pumpkin candles. Maybe it's because I am inside all day at work but...I associate the evening smells more with Fall than the day time scents. I smell the fireplaces and the candles.
