Cool Birthday Gift #2

Big Daddy and Tall SIL, plus nephews Big Baby and Little Man, sent me a gift on Saturday -- 50 truths worth knowing. I don't think it was by accident that the bookmark was marking the truth entitled "pets are part of the family." For a couple who talks about their dog ceaselessly, it was nice to read this: "Pets are a family's love made visible. They make it easy to learn to display affection, receive affection, return affection. And they are the best teachers. They teach us true family values -- love for its own sake, loyalty, fidelity, friendship, trust, and playfulness. Through them, we grow to be better people, because they take us to their hearts and show us what really matters." Thanks, guys!
