Wes and I have made a habit of naming our houseplants. In Virginia, we had Ethan and Clay. Ethan was a small tree of unknown origin that was named for a small dog that belonged to a friend. When I took care of him, I took him over to Wes's apartment, and he proceeded to tackle and attack the tree. Hence, Ethan. Clay was a plant we bought together, and it the name had something about corn in it. A summer roommate in Charlottesville, who was from Nebraska, was named Clay, and since corn grew in Nebraska, so was the plant. Makes complete sense, right?

We have 1 plant. No name. May not even live. I think it is 12 months old but that's pretty fuzzy. I guess we are not good plant people. Maybe naming it would help its chances of survival?
